There is much life off-line

and I dived there! While it is still restrained by some therapies which do I need and the work of my dentist, June was a month full of life. I read a lot (books, articles, blog ...) and had the joy of passing a very intense moments with people I care most about.

Continua il viaggio nel mondo delle percussioni incominciato con il post " Body percussion ". Oggi parliamo del rullante . Last weekend I received two major gifts: the first I have done Alex and Stephen, invited me to their wedding, according to my uncles George and Emily celebrated their 25th anniversary wedding.

Last fall my friend R. I asked if I wanted to play with the band for the Christmas concerts: he needed someone who played the glockenspiel . The glockenspiel is a strumento delizioso (per i profani somiglia a uno xilofono, ma è in metallo) e spaccatimpani, rientra nella categoria  strumenti a percussione , ma è in grado di emettere note di diversa altezza, quindi necessita di un suonatore in grado di leggere un rigo musicale. 

A R. pareva che una pianista potesse, tutto sommato, cavarsela discretamente. E in effetti per cavarmela me la sono cavata, e in più mi è rimasta una gran curiosità per il mondo delle percussioni, così allegro e variegato. 

Dopo aver passato anni ad esercitarmi sulla tastiera ogni volta che prendo in mano uno strumento nuovo mi metto alla ricerca di informazioni di ogni tipo: che cos'è, how to use it, who is playing, what kind of music ... and browsing YouTube, I was literally ecstatic in front of the performances of true masters.

So today inaugurate a series of percussion, talking about a curious and interesting practice: the body percussion. Credo che la mia posizione le sia piaciuta.
